Dundee Day
Dundee Day began in the 1950’s as a sidewalk sale and became an official day of events in 1992. Over the years, the event has included a ‘prettiest baby’ contest, appearances by local artists such as cartoonist Jeffrey Koterba, and the celebrated relocation of the Dundee Dell from Dodge Street to Underwood Avenue. Today, presented by Dundee Bank and Dundee Pediatrics, this family-friendly street festival celebrates and highlights the Dundee neighborhood with a parade, 5k run, art and craft vendors, book sale, pancake breakfast, food trucks, live music, live art drawing, and beer garden.
More details coming soon. Visit www.dundeeday.org to learn more or apply to be a vendor or in the parade.

Dundee-Memorial Park Association City Election Candidates Forum
The Dundee-Memorial Park Association will be holding its candidates Forum for the upcoming City of Omaha general election on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 7:00 pm. It will be held in the cafeteria of Brownell-Talbot School (400 N Happy Hollow Blvd). The parking entrance is at Happy Hollow Blvd and Chicago St.
Both mayoral candidates have confirmed their attendance as have candidates for the Omaha City Council from District 1 and District 3.
In past years, we have had candidates make presentations at one of our association meetings. When we have a large number of candidates, the presentations have run quite long which is not fair to the candidates who go last. For that reason, we have been using a community forum format. Each candidate will be given a space in the room and people will be allowed to go from candidate to candidate and talk with whom they wish to get more information and ask questions. There will be NO candidate speeches. This has proven easier for voters and candidates to have more one on one time and not force people to listen to candidate speeches for offices they may not be able to vote.
