Dundee-Memorial Park Neighborhood

The Dundee-Memorial Park neighborhood, located in central Omaha, Nebraska, is adjacent to Memorial and Elmwood parks, which border the University of Nebraska, Omaha. The area features well-maintained, early 20th century homes and distinctive cast iron  streetlights. From May to October, several hundred large flower baskets are displayed on these lights.

Dundee Community Garden

The beautiful Dundee Community Garden broke ground May 5th, 2009. It features forty-one 4'x10' plots, rain barrels, compost piles, solar panels, pollinator flowers and more. As well as hosting educational workshops and fun events (with homemade carrot cake!), DCG donates generous amounts of their harvest to many groups within the community. We are so thankful to have them in our great neighborhood.

Dundee-Memorial Park is One of the Ten Best.

In October of 2011, the Dundee-Memorial Park neighborhood was named one of the nation's 10 best by the American Planning Association, a nonprofit community development group. Our neighborhood was cited for its "varied residential architecture, strong sense of community and ongoing commitment of residents to care for and beautify the neighborhood”.

The neighborhood is also included on the National Register of Historic Places.
